The Body Shop White Musk Shower Gel Product Review
I have recently being trying out some of the Body Shop products as my favourite range of Bath products have not made any new products recently. When I was last in the shop I was surprised to find they still made the White musk range as I used to buy this when I was little. I had no problems in buying the shower gel from this range as it was a childhood memory for me.
~~PACKAGING~~
The shower gel comes in the plastic bottle which is clear. This means you get to see the light purple liquid inside and know just how much of the product you have left. On the front of the bottle we have the Body Shop logo and the product name, the back of the bottle contains all of the ingredients. The top of the bottle is also plastic and is a flip lid design, this makes it very simple to use.
~~USE AND RESULTS~~
It is simple to use the shower gel, the flip lid is easy to open and then a small amount of the gel needs to be squeezed out onto a hand of flannel and massaged into the body whilst under the shower. When this is massaged into the skin it makes and good lather and is also very easy to wash off. The results from using this as a shower gel are good and I was left with clean and soft skin which stayed moisturised for a good few hours. The smell was also very pleasant and remained on my skin for a long time after use.
As I am not really a fan of showers I have been using the remainder of my shower gel as a bath foam. To do this the gel just needs to be poured under a running tap. When this is done the gel starts to immediately make a lather. The lather is nice and light and there is a large amount from just using a small amount of the gel. The lather lasts for a good amount of time, for the duration of my 15 minute bath. When I wash my hair in the bath water the shampoo and conditioner usually makes the lather dissolve on other brands of bath products but this is not the case with this gel. I had just as good results from this shower gel when using as a bath foam and my skin was soft, clean and moisturised for a good few hours.
The scent from the shower gel is very nice. It is hard to describe and pin point it to something specific. The musk is easy to pick out from the scent and I would definitely say this is more of a feminine scent than one for the men. The scent when using this as a shower gel is noticeable and remains on the skin for a good time after using but when this is used as a bath foam it fills the bathroom and remains for a good amount of time. I loved the way I was able to smell this on my skin after bathing in it as it meant did not have to use perfume.
I did talk hubby into trying this out, just the once though as he has sensitive skin and he has had no reaction or bad effects from it. He was not keen on the scent it left on his skin thought.

The shower gel which have comes in a bottle size of 60ml. You can by larger sizes of the gel but I did not want to just in case I was not as keen on it as I used to be or in case they had changed the scent. I have had two showers out of this bottle and 4 baths up to now and I am only just under half way down the bottle as only a small amount s needed for each use.
The packaging is 100% recyclable and as with all the Body shop products this has not been tested on animals.

~~PRICE AND AVAILABLITY~~
This is a Body Shop product so can only be bought in their high street or online shop. The 60ml bottle is priced around £3 which I feel to be slightly high. The larger bottle is around the £6 mark. I would have liked this small bottle to be around £2 for better value for money.
~~RECOMMENDED?~~
I am happy to recommend this white musk shower gel as it smells wonderful and works well. I have the added bonus that it works excellently as a bath foam too. It is definitely not one for the male market but all lovers of musk scented products will fine this has the right balance of fragrance. Definitely deserving of the full 5 stars.

The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel Review
I have not shopped in the Body Shop for years and since my favourite brand of bath foams have not bought out any new ones recently I decided to give them a go. The first one I chose was the Strawberry Shower gel. I had to get the shower gel as they did not have this in the bath foam as I wished but I have on many occasions before used shower gel as bath foam and it has worked fine.
~~PACKAGING~~
The gel comes in a clear plastic bottle which shows off the red liquid inside. The front of the bottle has the Body Shop logo and the product name on and at the bottom of the label is a small picture of some strawberries. On the back of the bottle we have a label containing all of the product ingredients and the directions for use.
The lid is plastic and is a simple flip design, it can be unscrewed if you wish but the flip lid works perfectly fine and the liquid s easy to get out.
~~USE AND RESULTS~~
I am not a fan of showers but for the purpose of this review I decided to use this as a shower gel first. I found it worked well and was simple to use. The gel just needs to be massaged into the skin either with the hand or on a flannel and it can be used all over the body. The results I got when I came out of t he shower were good and my skin was left feeling soft and moisturised. I was also able to smell the gel on me for a good few hours after using it.
The scent is of strawberries and it is lovely. You can smell the scent from the moment you open the bottle and it only intensifies when the gel is being used. I found that I could smell it on my skin for a good few hours after showering in it. When I used this as a bath foam I noticed how the smell wafted around the whole of the upstairs of my hose and was great. The smell lasted for the whole duration of my bath, usually around 15 minutes. I was able to smell this on my skin after bathing in it but not as strong as when used as a shower gel.
When this is used as a bath foam it makes a good lather. The liquid just needs to be poured under a running tap and it immediately starts to make the lather and bubbles. They lather lasted for a good amount of time and was nice and light. When I washed my hair in the bath the lather did not go as it does with some bath foams. The results on my skin after bathing in this were lovely and I felt very soft and moisturised. My skin felt clean and I was left with a comforting feeling as I could faintly smell the strawberries.
The gel has not had any negative effects on my skin, and I have asked hubby to try this and it has not affected his sensitive skin, he was not overly keen on the scent left on him after though.

The shower gel comes in a bottle size of 60ml which is good for a trial as if like me you have never used this before and you get roughly 7 showers or 5 baths from this size. It can be bought in a larger sized bottle.

Yes, I am happy to recommend this shower gel as it smells wonderful, leaves skin feeling clean, moisturised and smelling wonderful. It doubles up as a bath foam which is a bonus for me. I am definitely going to be buying the larger sized on when next in town. The full 5 stars from me.
